Morten Green changes career path May 1st 2018.
The former national team Captain becomes an agent and adviser for ice hockey players at the Sports Management Group (SMG).
A few days ago, it was announced that Morten Green will stop his career on the ice when this season has been completed for him.
Initially, Green puts all his efforts into reaching as far as at all with the heart club Rungsted in the upcoming Play-off.
But when the season is over, Morten Green will start as an agent and adviser to ice hockey players at reputable Sports Management Group (SMG) owned by Bjarne Madsen - Denmark, Gunnar Svensson - Sweden and Marc Levine - USA.
Morten have had a long and outstanding active career thus comes to a definite end, and the Rungsted leader looks forward to coming out and pouring good advice over the next generation of ice hockey players.
"It's something close to the perfect solution for me. I have obviously considered walking the coach or manager path as many of my colleagues, but conversely, it would probably also mean that my family and I should continue to move around.
"Now we had moved home to stay, and my new job means that we can still have a home base in Denmark. Of course, there will be some travel activity, but it can be customized, says Morten Green.
At SMG, Morten Green will initially primarily focus on the Scandinavian and Danish market, according to Bjarne Madsen, who is the company's man in Denmark and Europe at the moment.
"Morten has played a lot of seasons in Swedish ice hockey, and I think 70 - 80 percent of the coaches/Managers who act in the Swedish market has crossed Mortens way in his long career. At home in Denmark, he also has a detailed knowledge of the ice hockey community, so I do not doubt he will be a good man for us, says Madsen.
Morten Green has been affiliated with SMG since the age of 15, so Madsen, Svensson and Green remain in the same way as a strong team. Green begins in SMG May 1st 2018.
"SMG as an company should also think further on to the next generation, and here Morten is also an obvious subject. That's something we've talked about in past seasons, so it's been in the air that he should enter SMG. We are very looking forward to the cooperation, says Bjarne Madsen.
"I have experienced and tested so many things in my career that I have plenty to pass on to both routine and future skilled ice hockey players. I'm really looking forward to getting started with my new career. It's amazing that I can stay in the ice hockey world, I'm so fond of, says Morten Green.

With sporting greetings
